I'one thousand having a Lg v20 Us996
And I'1000 suffering from severe burn in consequence in screen.
Can anyone please tell me how to prepare this issue?

Because information technology's an lcd, it doesnt actually burn in. Information technology'southward image retentiveness or ghosting. I'k having the same trouble. Lowering the brightness will help. I use automatic effulgence and it works great. I've heard that using an app [Twilight] that can put a filter on the screen might help. Apply 5% filter for 30% brightness, and for every 10% brightness add another 5% filter. Example: 30% brightness, v% filter, 40% effulgence, 10% filter, l% brightness, fifteen% filter, and so on. I don't know how much information technology will aid merely if it does that'south ever a good thing.

The maker of WETA has found if y'all lower the values of the screen only barely through KCAL compatible kernel it tin stop the ghosting completely.

But that means you have to use a custom kernel that supports KCAL and then if you aren't rooted you pretty much have to deal with it. It goes abroad eventually.

I believe off the top of my head it was merely lower RGB past 10 points is all it took. Ineed to double check but try that in mean time

I tried by lowering information technology down by 10 but no fruit

Lamentable dude only other thing to try is putting it to what his values are on the screen I attached just he said ten was all it should take.

But bad news is that Ghosting effect is getting stronger and worse 24-hour interval by day

Try setting them to the lower values he personally uses and meet. He says he likes it darker. I've noticed brightness seems to impact quite drastically on my finish

I just got my LG V20 US996 Fri afternoon & of course tested it at total brightness well-nigh of the time but volition kickoff using automated brightness more regularly if information technology really helps prevent such eventual screen issues, I only noticed today for the kickoff time on my Moto X Pure, which also has an IPS brandish, what looks like burn in that appeared suddenly not gradually..?

Supposedly the burn in for LCD displays is rare, part of why I bought the v20 in the first place. Except it'due south non rare, seems to happen more than it should. I ended out sending mine in for repair, barely still in warranty. I advise those of you with issues and warranty do the same.

I'grand having ghost issues as well now.
Is it the heat that makes the problem for the screen to practice it? If that is the case one more reason to apply a large battery like the mugen 9300 battery which keeps the heat of the phone down tremendously. Sadly 4 changed back and forwards on the stock bombardment and my big mugenpower - and now have the problem of ghost. I exercise mostly accept my screen on 100% light all the time as i is not even able to adjust the car function - I ordered the phone at 2017-Marts-09 and the issue has just raised in the terminal couple of weeks. I bumped upward from 2 minutes turn on time to 5 minutes which seemed to be the fourth dimension I began to go the ghost issue, which seems to be getting worse - but that could merely have been a coincident.
Its non a large issue as such but information technology is notwithstanding a petty annoying having it effectually.

I tried without success to utilise the 1 year warranty and sent my telephone in TWICE to LG. Both times they did zilch but wipe the phone and claimed they fixed it.

I ended out going through my carrier which sent me a refurb phone, but information technology looked new. I would recommend anyone with similar issues do the same. Yous can change the colors of the screen and it improves what you can and can't see, only the burn-in is permanent.
